Gold and Ruby kind of day

Wrapped the detector in a plastic bag and shower cap and braved the rain to search a local school today. Found some nice stuff but this earring was the best. It's 18K gold and what I think might be a ruby in it. I don't know much about stones though. I actually found the bracelet last week, but it must have been an omen of things to come.

Beautiful stone, with it being set in 18k gold you know that is a real gem. Nobody spends money for a cheap stone in expensive gold.

Thanks for the comments. It just hit me though, that's not an earring, it's a necklace thingy. That's a whole lot better than just one earring anyway
