Hi:hello:

Weather report stated that at mid-day, there would be a break in the heavy rain / thunder, so at noon I headed out for a 3 hrs. hunt to take advantage of this small window of opportunity.

Dishes? .....what dishes??:laughing7:

It was sunny, humid, and beautiful out there.

The rocks were in full view at low tide and so I dug in immediately.

Was finding clads and silver , but where 's the gold?:icon_scratch:; gotta be there somewhere:headbang:

Moved over a bit to another rocky area and BAM!...hit the 18 K ring...small, perhaps a child's ring, but it sure looked good under that rock.

Ring gave off a strong , low "growl" tone.

Started for home at around 3:15...sky darkened; torrential rainfall began; got there and out just in time.

Here's some pics

As always...thanks for looking at my finds.

Oh my, that is a tiny ring. I thought I had the smallest gold ring ever made, but yours is smaller! Did you have trouble getting it into your scoop?

TJ

This ring weighs in at .99 grams.

No trouble getting it into the scoop because it was amid the mud that I dug with it.

That Standing Liberty quarter had to be on that beach a long time. That's the kind of finds we make up here in Jersey after a NorEaster or a hurricane .

I bet the tiny ring you found is a toe ring; especially with you finding it in the water and all...

Yes, that S L is paper thin; too bad what the salt does over time to these precious coins.

I think you are correct....I didn't even think of that option. Thank you for your input.

The ring is smaller than a dime..it frames President Roosevelt's image.
