Gold Panning Near Fredericksburg Texas???

Hello treasure netters......I am new to the site and just getting back into treasures and prospecting. As a kid and young man it always facinated me. I live in Fredericksburg, Texas now and have heard that their are rivers and creeks in the area that produce small amounts of placer gold. Does anyone have any suggestions on a good location to start looking that has public access?

Welcome to Tnet.

I have never panned in the area but have heard of a few silver mines out in that area before. I used to climb enchanted rock out there a few times a year.

I am sure you will get a response from someone, there is also a panning thread on the main page here you may try.
