Really pushed halves this week but no silver out of 11 boxes, found 8 rosie and 1 merc dime out of 6 boxes...

The most interesting finds were gold half, gold quarter and gold dime... And a fake half dollar, which got rejected back to me a few times at the machine, then I went to flip it, and it sounds like nothing at all... and when you drop it, it sounds like a poker chip or something...

Not sure if that half is fake... Could be a magician's coin?

I edited the post a bit to expand on that...

I havent ever seen a magicians coin, so I dont know... I thought I had read that they come apart? well this one doesnt open up or anything... and on the reverse, I flipped it exactly like I did for all the other coins too, it is upside down as well

I bet it is a Magicians coin, I have found many of them, throw it at the ground trying to hit it right on the edge of it, it should pop open after a few try's. normally it is the back that will pop out. Good luck, Maverick.

Its a magician's coin. Put it in a thick plastic glass, shake it hard, and it should pop open.

I can see the seam in the bottom one, its a magicians half. If you have an eye loupe, examine both your halves, you will see the difference in the back of the magicians half.

Pinch the rim really hard, and that's how ou open a mag. Coin

can you guys find those magicians coins by side searching or do you have to inspect each coin carefully? I've side searched hundreds of boxes and still no magicians coin, which I would actually love since I do close up magic

You find magicians' coins by the good ol' tried-and-true sound test. Clad "clinks". Silver "clanks". Magicians coins "thud".

i found mine when i tried to dump it in a machine... , but like Arkie says... the sound test is for sure...

I still havent tried to open it, maybe I will in a bit

It may have a Mexican 20 centavos or British penny inside.
