Good November 30 + Silvers. Lots Of other coins. And A Mess Of Relics

Hey everyone,

Been a good 5 or 6 weeks since I have posted anything. I don't post often anymore. But had a good month and thought I would share these finds with you guys. Finished up the ball field i last posted about pulling another 15 silvers or so off the field. It got slow but there are still some finds left there.

My 10 yr old son on one trip ran up to me saying I got a first. I was like oh man it's gotta be something good. He hands me a 1907 barber half off the ball field infield 1ft off the grass. I gave him a big congrats. It's a great find for a 10 yr old. I have taught my boy pretty good. He's gonna out hunt me one day.

I basically made the rest of the finds at a old faithful park that always gives me a barber and indian fix. I have been hunting this place for yrs hard. And it is still giving up some nice old coins. It's amazing how many coins are still there after about 200 or more trips to this park in the past 8 yrs.

Last but not least I hit up a pre 1850's home sites were atleast 16 or so houses were all lined up in the woods. I have hunted this place hard also but it still keeps producing. I pulled up some nice old relics. I got a 1862 farthing and 1866 indian. Had a great day then broke the toggle switch on my V3. So I am down till friday.

Great finds, as usual! If you someday feel you've exhausted that row of 1850's houses, there are still privies to look into (so to speak). I know several guys who'd be willing to help out with it!

Hey Jer....Those are some great finds! What is so great about this hobby is how so many first time detectorists from years ago have become very passionate about metal detecting. The amazing coins & relics in the posts have went from a first time wheat back or rosie, to lots of amazing items........and i mean Lots! Cases of excellent pieces.............Well done Jer !!! Yes, I have thought about digging these sites out. I find hutch bottle tops everywhere. I know there is some old glass at this place. I see right next to the sites big ditches. may take you up on that someday halfdime.

Good to hear from you john. It's a great hobby you are right. I was hoping that day my boy didn't have a gold coin before me lol. Maybe one day right. I can dream until then.

Steelhead, The script you see is actually a old gold plated locket. Pretty decent shape. Came from a old home site. Yes, The K is a button and the one next to it is a navy button I am pretty sure.

Thanks alot guys. A little slow to respond anymore. Just really busy with kids and work. You all know how it is. Trying to keep my kids involved in something positive and not on the streets. My 10 yr old boy is turning into some hunter. Puts a big smile on my face when he runs up to me with a barber or indian.

I'll be back again soon with a yr end post. Turned up some nice finds last week at a old foundation sites.
