YAY!! I'm super excited, as these are VERY rare/hard to find in my area. It's in pretty decent shape as well. Date is 1837. I went back to an area that I had heavily hunted last summer, and I didn't expect to find much. Took my time, swung the coil low 'n slow (it helped that the grass hasn't grown in yet), and was rewarded!!
Totals for yesterday included 3 silver coins ('45p war nickel and 2 mercs '43 and '44), a 1900 indian, the 1837 large cent, 15 wheaties, a 1927 Chicago dog license, an old(er) hair barette, old(er) junk earring (fake turquoise), and just under $3 in clad. Weather was great here yesterday, and this spot is huge, so it looks like I'll be busy for a while!! YAY!! Pics are below. Enjoy!!
