Usually I find a Crotal bell every year, and was getting disappointed I didn't find one this year. Until today. Started out just finding a wheat and dead silence for a bit. Then this choppy 70's/60's signal. Low and behold a Crotal bell. Kool-Side smile from ear to ear. Back to dead air for awhile, and along side of a tree I get an 82/83. Out popped a stack of coins with a Silver half staring at me. The spill gave up 3 wheats, a 1907 Indian head, and a 1918 S Walker. The Crotal was still my favorite find of the day. Found the crushed .925 silver ring on the path heading back to the vehicle.

All of your finds there are really great, but I still like the half the best because that one is in extremely fine condition.

Awesome coin spill, crotal bell and ring. Man I bet you were stoked as you pulled all of those coins out of the hole. :headbang:

Always look forward to finding a crotal bell, and your pocket spill and ring make for nice ride home with an ear to ear smile. Congrats. :-)

Yes I was. When the pile popped out and the Half was lying there. I was like "oh yeah". Couldn't tell what was under the clump of dirty coins yet. Wasn't anymore silver, but walkers are always an exciting find. I was definitely pumped.

I got break you into woods hunting. I know you don't care for it, but all my Walker, and Barber halves came from the woods. After some time. You'll learn to read where the old paths and roads are. And you can learn me permission seeking

I don't know about Chris, but I was at work when you texted those pics! I guess that was payback for when you were sitting on the side of the road in the broken down work truck and Chris was texting you pics of our finds that day lol. I found my smallest bell a little over a month ago and it was the first scorn shaped one ever for me. They are great finds, especially when I just can't find a silver half at all!

Definitely payback for Chris. :laughing7: JK. Actually I couldn't believe I found my 3rd Walker of this season, I was hunting alone and wanted to share the moment.

That is a GREAT mixed bag of goodies. Your ring can be straightened back to wearable condition, I hope. That big silver is a looker too. Sub 8-)
