It's been at least a year since I last got out. Yesterday I made my way into the woods looking for the sight of a late 19th century home. This was my first time researching and finding an old site to m.d, when I came across it in the deep woods it was a great feeling. I didn't have my m.d with me at the time it was more of a scouting mission. I only had two hours today and it's a half hour walk to get there so that left me about an hour of swinging.
I made away with a pile of square nails (they are everywhere), scrap metal, and this 1904 world's fair hand mirror.
I can't wait to get back out.
Here is a pic of the mirror and another one I found on a website for comparison:
Small brass-plate hand mirror with floral design. Inscribed: "1904 Worlds Fair St. Louis."
