"OnXhunt" is a great phone app for mapping. It also shows you who owns the property. Check it out in the app store on your phone.

It also allows you to work offline with GPS if you have no phone service

I've had a good lot of success using Microsoft Streets and Trips, a Map program similar to Google. It gives GPS coordinates for anywhere in the world. I use it in conjunction with a hand held GPS unit. I have found a lot of places that I wanted to detect with it. I have a newer version and an older version(2002). The older version has more details such as creeks and rivers but some of the streets and roads have changed since it came out.
