I've been into storm chasing and the weather for as long as I can remember but today it hailed like I've never seen before. It lasted for about fifteen - twenty minutes and it came down hard enough to crack smaller tree limbs. First few minutes was mainly pea to nickel size but the last ten minutes or so was all quarter size and larger. I've never seen anything like this in person. Dangerous but awesome indeed...

We had hail here last night as well, a major storm system that stretched at point, per radio broadcast, from south of Atlanta Ga to north of Charlotte NC. A few tornado's developed along the way as well, thank goodness none too close.
