in the act of littering my road. I took it upon myself to pick up all the trash thrown out by these litterbugs. I posted a sign at our local store so they all could see, read & heed. Stop at the store, turn on the road and before they reach their road (side road from mine) they throw it out the window. I mean, they're only seconds from reaching home and their garbage cans.

Of course, i'm sure there is nothing with their name on it anywhere either.

Reminds me of a story.... about Alice.... and the restaurant.......

"Officer Obie, I cannot tell a lie.... I put that piece of paper under all that garbage...."

Good luck! Maybe try one of those motion sensing hunting cameras?
Might get lucky, especially if they consistently throw it in the same place.
May accidentally get a face, license plate, or at least a look at the vehicle in passing.

that gets me soooooo mad... it'd be nice to find out who they are and drop it back off at their place (scattered all around their yard). imagine the looks on their faces when they wake up and see it, with a note saying "i know who you are"!!!!!!! :laughing7:

Picked up 4 prescription bottles, names had been pulled off, but the store & prescription # can be IDed at the drug store, plus the person who smokes Marlboro Special Blend (box) pulls the top off and then stuffs with the foil from a new pack then out the window it goes...I picked up about 50+ just of these alone...plus many had parking garage tickets from a casino. >:( Either they employed or just visiting :dontknow: many water bottles from the same casino. The names that I did manage to salvage and the prescription bottles have been turned over to the Parish Council.

I don't see any of the vehicles, cause they all turn off onto this lane a good ways from my house. This is a dead end road, but I have to see it every time I come & go. When we feel the grass has gotten too high, my husband bushhogs it...then it's worst with litter strewn all over the road. If they only knew how long it takes for styrofoam to "rot".

Place some of those hidden camera's out there ::)

Like a camouflaged wild game camera, tie it to a tree and hide everything but the camera and sensor.

same thing on the mountain rd i live on. the only way it will stop
is for that person to die, and hope their kids dont do the same thing.
the local police here do a clean up with the prisoners. it helps
but there is really no excuse for tossing garbage out the window.
ok-rant over

Well like it or not there will always be litter bugs, you just need to save the bags, find out who they are and then fill their front yard or in the drive way behind the family car. Just a thought.

This is one of my "pet peeves" it just takes a little bit of effort to dump ones trash in a trash can or dumpster. While I was still driving, many times I have been in a truckstop and watch some lazy driver roll down their window and throw out a bag of trash, even though a trash can might only be a few steps away. Nature is so beautiful, I just can't understand why anyone would do that.

I think a good game camera and maybe a good pellet gun or a .22 with ratshot,so when they pass by you could leave YOUR mark on them. :laughing7:

People are raised with little morals anymore. It disgusts me when I see teens or --deleted-- adults driving, toss their fast food bags out their windows. Can you imagine what the inside of their houses look like? I hate to stereotype, but I have seen this occur more frequently in the Southern states. I don't know why, but I was raised in the North to respect the outdoors and the town I live in. Not that it doesn't happen in the North, but I just see it more here in the South.

Good for cleanin that up. I see less litterin goin on up here in Colorado in the mountains than I did in Oklahoma. It does happen. Now I will tell you a story about companies 'going green' Notice that Walmart bags are now white instead of blue? You used to see a blue bag flappin in a barbed wire fence along the side of the road and you knew it was a Walmart bag. Changed to white, which could be Safeway, Target, etc., so you don't see no litter you automatically associate with Walmart anymore. A PR coup! Actually a brilliant CYA and get them off our backs move.
