So 2 weeks ago after $296,300 worth of halves I found my first Barber half dollar, a 1908-O. I posted it and apparently didn't follow the proper protocol for a cheesy haircut reference. Today I make amends. After a whopping total of another $1,060 dollars worth of halves, my 1st box produced a 2nd Barber half, a 1912-S. Ironically it was the only silver in the box, accompanied by 3 proofs and 3 NIFC's. The 2nd box had a reverse '66 ender, an obverse '09-S PF ender and an obverse '81-S ender. This 2nd box produced a total of 5x40%ers, a 1964, a 1962-D, a 2009-S 90%er and 9 total NIFC. This was my 4th modern 90% proof half. Amazingly this box produced 2009 P, D, clad S and silver S, a cool quartet.
So far out of 20.5 boxes this year I've found 2 Barbers, 4 Walkers, 2 Franklins and a 2009 90%er. Not a bad start to the year.
Thanks.
