Handful of finds from today 04.01.2015

Apart from a handful of modern coins and shotgun cartridges here are my finds today.

Large shoe buckle
Crotal Bell - 18th Century type (Crotal bells - ukdfd) - Pellet bell still intact.
Buttons - Maybe 1 Silver plated?
1963 Shilling
Small lead item - Paperweight? any ideas?
Musket ball and another one that looks like it has been fired.

That complete 18th C shoe buckle is a good find & the bell is a bonus.

The lead item looks to be a late 19th C Shotgun Slug.

Many say those buttons are silver plated, I'm not so sure that it isn't some early form of chrome, still its an early one, so your in the right place.

Yes any complete ones are good & any with the iron pea & still ringing is even better. I never get bored of finding these, & the farmers like them as well, so I have given away quite a few.

Originally I thought it was 16th Century with the bell hammer inscription but it is in fact 18th Century according to the Website source.
