Every coil white's has is water proof, just don't get the control box wet. I have the coiltek 13" DD coil looking for more depth and its no deeper than the white's D2 coil but does seem to hit better on deep coins on edge, I'd hear them with the D2 but didn't sound good enough to dig but sounded worth digging with the 13" ultimate DD coiltek coil. So while it didn't really get me more depth it covers more ground while separating pretty good for a big coil and hits better on the deep on edge coins. HH

I have a small 8' excellerator and it works fine. The excellerator is a good coil even if I usually prefer whites.
