has anyone built the Surf Pi1.2 detector kit

I came across a kit called the Surf PI 1.2 on the site Surf Pi 1.2 Kit. Has anyone tried it and how good did it work. I'm a nut that likes to build my equipment my self if possible but don't want to spend money on junk. Ill probably get a fisher CZ-21 but The kit looks fun if it works

Geotech forum would be the place to look if you haven't, I thought about trying it but don't think I could use a pi anytime soon

if anyone is interested there reported as being comparable to the sand shark by tosco I'm going to build one in the next few mouth i just ordered the kit
