Has anyone used a Minelab GPX-4500 for relic hunting, and how did it work?

Dear RafterW;
I've never used a GPX-4500 but I use a GP-3000 and an SD2100v2 and from experience, they are EXCELLENT relic machine. A bit TOO excellent, in fact. The depth and sensitivity is simply phenomenol and they can detect cetrain types of glass, pottery shards and even old campfires. To date I've dug up beer cans at 22" and a .22 slug at 18". They'll go deeper than you care to dig, trust me. The trick to using a Minelab PI detector for relic hunting is stay away from trashy zones, as they detect any and everything.
