I'd recommend the Bounty Hunter VLF 2.1 detector, you can get it at wal mart for 60 bucks, I hear it'll find hub caps at up to 6 inches.

As far as pinpointers, you don't really need one, just get a screen and throw all the dirt from your hole into it and shake it til you find the target.

As far as diggers go, I know everybody has their own preference, but I like a good old fashioned post hole digger, they have long handles so you can lean on them if you need a rest.

Coins can generally be found in washing machines, and relics are easiest to find in museums and antique shops, but hunting junkyards can really pay off. When I want gold or silver I hunt in pawn shops and jewelry stores, you wouldn't believe how much you can find in those places.

I see, yes thank you. I will look into some of your suggestions.

I forgot one question.

What are the best headphones?

Thank you

I like the ones that early telephone operators used, they have a microphone on them so you can ask your detector questions too!

Well arnt you a nice young man. Very helpfully

Ok I'll inquire about that one. I Guess I will need a higher end detector for that option.

Nah, none of them actually listen (yet) but it helps keep me amused when I figure out that I'm searching the spot where 40 years worth of beer tents have been.....Plus if you have a microphone people assume your cussing at someone, and not at a chunk of aluminum foil.

Wouldn't that be great? You just tell it what to disc out, and it tells you target ids?

I would have it remind me when to pack it up so the wife would not get pissed when I stay out to long. Ahhh provided I had one of these detecting machines. I just assume I would stay out late.

I like that nice colors. Would I be able to match a detector to those.?

Yes however it may take longer for special order items ...also they have the version of shovel that you can drill holes in to make it a water shovel

I need to get one of those water shovels, every time I try to dig in the water it just goes right back in the hole.

When digging water I have learned that you should carry a drop cloth so as to full the hole back up.
