I actually cried out in pain when I saw it was broke. Still did get one whole point though, and a nice well used hammerstone, and also the little hamilton with the corner ding is a shame too but I am glad to have found it. 0613191911.jpg 0612191327a.jpg 0613191911b.jpg 0613191913.jpg 0613191916.jpg 0613191915.jpg 0613191916a.jpg

Nice finds , a few tough brokes in there , looks like your digging and sifting why do you think so many are broken ? Was this area farmed at one point ?

Hey Arrow, yes Im digging and sifting, and this ground has been worked in the past. So im sure some of the breaks are due to farm implements. Unfortunately I am pretty sure I broke the one with the v shaped break in the tip. That v shape is exactly the shape of the tines on the fork I was using to dig with.

Thanks Hawks, I am happy with it but I would be ecstatic if it was whole. Im not complaining though, it makes me want to go back and see what else is there since they were making points like that. There must be a whole one there somewhere.

I always save the broken pieces. You never know when the missing pieces will show up and sometimes, someone else will find it!

That hurts, still nice finds all in all though. We've had flooding here in Oklahoma and almost every river, lake, and creek is above normal so I haven't been able to hunt my preferred locations. I'm itching to get out and try my new Muck boots i got for father's day!
