HELP I.D. MUSICAL EMBLEM? NON DUG...

Hello everybody,Believe it or not i do M.D. lol...I found this buckle&belt(white & small) and was wondering if it could be military,Although i have seen similar this one has what looks like flame coming from the colum top.No marking's of any kind,But look's like a dremeled # 3 on back(can't get that in pics) so ANY help will be greatly appreciated!!! Or is this just some school band buckle!???!

I personally don't think it's military. Although that symbol used to be on older military buttons and buckles (see attached links), it is now being produced on modern blazer buttons, and I imagine, buckles like yours. I think people in bands/marching bands wear them sometimes. I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure it's not military-related. BTW the instrument on the buckle is called a lyre.

Ya i kinda thought myself it a marching band type of buckle,BUT i was obviously hopeing it was military...Still some searching need to be done before marking solved! Thank you for your input&link!!! HAPPY HUNTING!
