I was detecting this weekend at a sight where a house had stood in the 60's. I didnt have much luck but I did however find an old pocket watch. It was about 4 inches down and from the looks of it, it had been there for a while. My problem is is that it doesnt have any marking's or anything that could tell me who manufactured it or what year that it was made. Can anyone tell me where I can look to research this to maybe find out how old it is? Any input would be appreciated.

There are some things you can do. Open the back, the maker is probably on the works inside.

After that, is the case steel?? search of steel case pocket watches etc.
