Here lies the Horse from the South
Does anyone recognize this phrase? My old friend Al tells me this story from when he was a child growing up in New Mexico that a friend of his (back then) played in a graveyard that had this inscription (in Spanish) on a rock nearby. Something with "The Man from the South". Something about this old guy who would ride his horse from Old Mexico to New Mexico and bury treasure here and returned to Old Mex to do it again.
I've got a name, and I have the location, 'bout 6-7 hours away. Can't find anything on the net about it.
Wondering if anyone if familiar with this "phrase".
Anyone?
