Here's the totals from my vacation time detecting! 22 Silver coins!!

While on vacation I dug 18 silver coins (or 22, if you count in the four
War nickels) from April 17th to the 29th. I went detecting just about
everyday (missed only three days) ~ some days I went out for only a
couple hours, and a few times I went for about six hours! Here's my
totals:

1 Silver Half dollar (1954)
1 Standing Liberty 25c (ND)
2 Silver Washington 25c's ('41, & '52)
3 Merc dimes ('20, '42, & '42)
10 Silver Rosie 10c ('50 to '64)
1 Silver Canadian 10c (1939)
1 Buffalo nickel (1935)
4 War nickels (2-'43, & 2-'45)
2 older 5c's ('47 & '52)
77 Wheat cents (1918 to 1958)
2 older Canadian cents ('32 & '40)
2 older transit tokens
1 President TAYLOR medallion
1 G.B five Pence (2000)
5 pieces of 925 or STERLING jewelry
90 clad 25c's
170 clad 10c's
24 modern 5c's
646 Memorial cents (70% +/- are coppers)
a couple old toy cars
a couple 1950's License Plate tags

It was a lot of work, but the good kind of work! I LOVE THIS HOBBY!!!

Yikes! Where did you go on vacation? Or was all this from your own town? I'm moving to Oregon. (Just kidding)

I love that little jeep - it appears to be from the 1960's. The silver button isn't too shabby, either.

I didn't go to far for my time off. My wife had to work, and my kids all had to go to school ~ so I mostly stayed in town while detecting. I realized that I had over 100 hours of vacation time to use before May 16th, so I took off all those days to burn up most of the time. I still have about four days to use ~ hopefully I'll find some more places to hunt for them silver coins!

Yeah, "clad" is the modern coins. The US mint stopped making the dimes, quarters, & halves out of the 90% silver at the end of 1964 and in 1965 they went to the current copper/nickel clad composition.
