I found this button of a 3 masted sailing ship and this bronze or copper Spanish coin in an old colonial era farm field where an old settlement once stood. I have found many military items there from Revolutionary War era to just after the Civil War.
The button is a cuff button size and the 3 masted ship on the front and the words "Fancy" and "Orange Colour" on the back. It appears to be a one piece button with some very small traces of gold gilt still left.
The coin is about the size of a U.S. Nickel and has what appears to be the bust of Isabella II on the front with a possible date of 1858 but not sure on the date. The rear has the typical shield pattern with the number 10 on the bottom just left of the bottom of the shield. Maybe the equivilent of a dime? This is my first Spanish Coin.
Any help in I.D. of these two would be appreciated.
