Hi everyone I am glad to be here. I love reading the story's and all the exciting finds listed here. I hope to be one of the lucky ones that find the big catch. I have been detecting for many years and have found lots of interesting things but not the we all hope for. I have been using a white xl pro for the about 5 years and each year I take it out less. It does a good job but I just do not think it is as good as my older whites I have used. I am getting back into detecting and going to buy a new detector. I am looking at two that maybe you guys and girls can help me decide. They are both Garrett the first is a a/t Pro and the second a 350 Discovery. I have never owned a Garrett so they are new to me. I will be doing coin hunting and some ocean beach hunting. I guess what I am trying to decide is the cost. The Garrett 350 is less money and easy to use but would I be giving up depth, or other things that the Garrett AT Pro would offer. Thanks everyone.

Welcome Aboard! You didn't list your state (or country) in your profile. So, you might consider jumping over to Sub-Forums: Select Your Area.... and selecting your state for information (i.e., clubs, hunts, finds, legends, maps, etc.) directly related to your state (or country). Now, you might want to browse Forum > Metal Detecting > Brands > Garrett...

Welcome to the forum!

Of the two detectors you mentioned, I would choose the AT Pro. I have and use the AT pro and AT Gold, they work very well for what they are designed to do.
