Was hunting an old picnic grove loaded with pennies, can slaw, and iron. Got a high tone on my AT Pro but it was jumping around because of the junk near by. When I opened the hole I ran the detector over it and got a 99 and thought for sure it was going to be a rusty bottle cap. It was in the side of the hole so I stuck my digger in the side and out pops the most awesome coin I have ever dug.

When I found my Peace Dollar, I inadventently gave Miss Liberty a scar with my Lesche (my only excuse was digging 2 crushed cans minutes before I found her LOL)

I found one...a 1922s. It was wedged between some boulders. I couldn't believe my eyes when the reeded edge exposed itself.

Congrats on that large silver, our area here is a treasure depleted area lol ! Been hunting off and on for 30 plus years and no Silver dollars revealed to the light of day in my dirt yet ! This year has been very bad for large silver here also(one 22 gram silver ring is it), nothing above dime sized in silver coinage, plenty of clad tho !

Wow Rick that is a beauty. Hopefully you showed Vino something he hasn't found lol. I heard through the grapevine you took him to a nice site and he only found a couple round balls. Hopefully you can teach him a thing or two. Great find bud
