Can anyone ID the button or buckle? The button looks like a replica as it appears to be cheaply made. Not sure about the buckle. The quarter is for size reference! Thanks for looking, HH!

The button item is actually a piece of collar brass. I'd say WWII. Mot sure of the other item.

The button is in fact a collar insignia worn by enlisted personnel in the US Army. The cross rifles indicate that he was assigned to an Infantry unit.

Nifty find! Anything I can't identify and have to research is a great find for me -- learning is part of the pleasure of the hobby!

Thanks for the feedback! Very cool to learn about this button! I can give this to the son of the man that wore this button! Pretty sure his Dad was in the infantry in WWII. He will be glad to have it I'm sure.

Very nice military find. Collar discs are always a welcome site, especially from WW11.

Sometimes called Collar Studs as well. Not strictly a button.
