It's gold nonetheless.

Kind of morbid, but I recall reading a book about the holocaust where they'd go around and take the gold teeth from dead Jews that had been executed. Gold is gold...

Hey Dylan,

Dental gold is normally 16K. My business partner and I buy a lot of gold and silver at estate sales to scrap, and in our last batch a gold bridge scrapped out at right around $200.00.

So according to you my deduction I was almost exact, 16k or 17k ;).

Yes, you were right on. Also, looking at the pictures of the bridge, the piece I had that scrapped for $200.00, appears to have been bigger, and probably wasn't a bridge, since my piece seemed like it was an upper plate that fit into the roof of the mouth. What you have to do, is extract the gold and weigh it on a jeweler's scale.

If you break the teeth off send them to me, I could use them. That's a pretty cool find, and good gold too.

You'd be surprise how much gold is in those teeth. Midwest refineries would give the fairest price, they can be found on the net.

WTG on the gold find. I also found a gold bridge of 4 top teeth while water detecting a local lake years ago.

Nice gold. It could be the dirt on them, but they do look like they are old. Best bet is to go to Northwest Refinery? to sell the gold.

Welcome aboard Wirebender, Glad to have you here.
