Went out this mourning to an old school. Found some coins but nothing older then 1968. Most every thing was 3-5 inches deep. I could tell someone had been MDing recently there in a few spots, because two holes I found change in. (good for me). I just made a gpd -202 It seemed to work pretty good I got a lose wire but it saved a lot of digging and time after I learn to adjust it.

I would never use a probe, but that is just me. I have seen dudes deck valuable coins with those dang probe things.

I hope it works for you.

LOL at both replies.

1. No one probes for coins with an electronic probe--they aren't made for digging, just pinpointing in an already dug hole.

2. "deck" in KirkPA speak means "to scratch, chop, or scrape."

Happy Hunting,

Sorry, political chat dude, I thought he meant a "digging probe."

S' o.k. You know I'd have said something if it looked like someone was gonna deck a wilver ;)
