The White's Eagle Spectrum is a good machine but it has older technology but still works. I like most machines that you can hip mount. This not only saves weight on the arm, but now you can search shallow water. However neither Garrett or White's offer a life time warranty which both Fisher and Tesoro do. The Spectrum is a middle of the road and has slipped off due to newer detectors brought out. But not everyone does well with the newest detector either. It's better to learn what you have and you'll do ok.
