How many pieces of sub-100 mesh gold make up a gram?

Played a little game on our FB page.
All sub 100 mesh gold.
Took exactly.... .50 GRAINS (had to do that 5 times to get it perfect)
Took PIC #1 and asked people to count.
Some came real close.
I used photoshop to SPOT OUT all the pieces I felt were gold. A few were hematite.
The count.........

769 pieces for .50 grains

769 x 2 = 1538 to make a grain.

1538 x 15.43 = 23,731 pieces per gram

23,731 x 31.1 = 738,044 in an ounce

Just a little fun....... think I need to take up drinking.......
