How to clean Chinese coins?

Yesterday I posted this coin in Today's Finds but got to thinking...just how does one clean up a Chinese coin? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

i wouldn't clean it. As pitted as it is, you'd probably loose some detail. And I don't think Sherm was kidding about the tumbler and rice. The raw, uncooked rice is softer than the metal in the coin and would knock the crap off and lightly polish the coin.
But, as I said before, personally, I wouldn't clean it; I'd just rinse it off, pat it dry, and mount it in a holder.

Just my never humble opinion.

Cooked rice? wouldn't the tumbler get all gummy? Wouldn't "Instant Rice" be quicker?

Just getting on T-net, and saw your question. I hunt in S. Korea, and usually have one or two Chinese coins to clean, whenever I hunt.
I use lemon juice, three or four times in new juice, swish it around for a couple of hours. After each cleaning, then wipe the grundge off with an old rag.....carefully.
Then, back into the lemon juice again. After 4th or 5th time, you will have pretty much the best coin that you can get.

Now, about the coin you have.....it is not Chinese, it is Korean. Where did you find it, if I can ask? In the States?
I find hundreds of these every year, but live and hunt in S. Korea, in the hills/mts.
