if you know what city the property is in and an approximate address, you can go to the city hall/tax office. They should have the owner's information. Hope it helps.

Where I live, a phone call to the county PVA office will git er done. Sometimes you have to take a Topo map in if the location is really off the beaten path.

In Montana it's all on-line using maps/aerial photos... click and find out who owns what, who is paying the taxes on it, and all other specs... (zoneing, etc...) ... it's awesome!

just go over and detect it and dig a hole or three, you will find out who owns it pronto.......

Just what I was thinking mite not be a soul around it for months but if you step out there and start detecting you will have company. Must be some kind of sensors in the ground or something lol.
