How to remove corals and other marine remains...

Hello everyone!

Is there a way to remove corals and other marine remains from stone and iron? A wire brush doesn't work (too hard), moreover I am scared to use the brush on the iron artifacts (very fragile). Does the coral come off the iron artifacts using the electrolytic reduction method without any prior cleaning?
Any help is very much apreciated.
Thank you and have a wonderful day...;-)))

muriatic acid will remove the coral, but if the iron is suspect you will have to go with the eletrolytic reduction method and gently check it at each water change.

If you only want to remove the coral, put the piece in White Vinegar.
