"BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35, Orlando) -- Florida Highway Patrol investigators said a semi truck rear ended another semi at 5:30 a.m. Wednesday on I-95, causing the truck to overturn and spill $185,000 worth of nickels onto the side of the highway.

Traffic is currently stopped between Stuckway Road and SR-46 as crews work to clear the accident. That portion of the interstate will remain closed until all the nickels have been collected.

The truck that rear ended the other hit the guard rail and overturned, killing the passenger.

The truck carrying the coins was headed from Philadelphia to the U.S. Treasury in Miami, the Associated Press reports.

Investigators said the highway will be shut down for a few hours as they wait for the Secret Service to come retrieve the money.

The driver of the overturned semi was airlifted to the hospital and is in stable condition. The at-fault driver was taken to Parrish Medical Center and is also said to be in stable condition.
Investigators said there are 3 million nickels on the side of the highway."

Go over it with a detector and see how many pull tabs it reads. :icon_jokercolor: LOL

My thoughts exactly. Maybe the SS will toss pulltabs around to keep anyone with a detector from finding the rest of the nickles. 8)
