I was a Nautilus and Whites 5900 & Blue & Gray fan for 20 years. Switched to the Garrett At Pro & Gold two years ago and have been happy. The Pro has good depth (not as deep as some due to the lack of an all metal threshold mode) but in discrim it is just as deep if not deeper than other brands out there. The AT Gold is amazing in housesites...best machine I have used for sneaking past pesky iron. I also use them both in the water.

I also have the 250 and I am curios as to what setting you find most helpful..I am tired of digging all those nails

You had one of the best detectors out as far as I'm concerned, I use the MXT and wouldn't trade for 3 of any other detector out now. HH

Deus XP 2.0 got it about a month ago and so far very impressed. Dug a US buckle at 17 inches last week with it! Also have a Nautilus which I'll always keep for sentimental reasons. Had a Fisher F-75 for several years but traded it in on the Deus because it did not work well for me.

I have a variety of "tools in the tool box". Depends on where I am hunting and expected targets. My AT Pro with a small DD coil and Minelab CTX3030 with the small coil are my demolition site machines. My F75ltd and Tesoro Tejon both with the standard coils are my old home-site and relic machines. My Tesoro Sand Shark is my beach hunting machine. My Whites V3i may become my park hunting machine.

You might just start WWIII asking that question! :laughing7: It all comes down to personal preference. I currently use a Whites V3i, Garrett AT Pro & a BlissTool. I had an ACE 350 in the past too and every single one of them work great! Whatever you happen to purchase, take the time to know the machine thoroughly. Once you learn all of its quirks and take time to actually work in tandem with the machine, that is the only way you'll be happy with this great hobby!

Whites V3I. I also like the minelab explorer SE. Minelabs are really good and deep. But you gotta go to slow for my liking. I love the V3I it's a great unit. Both take alot of time to understand though.

Etrac, Sunray probe, predator tools little eagle. Love my etrac except its like swinging an axe. That's my only complaint. I think the shovel is the best money I've EVER spent, no joke.

I have used a Fishers 1266-X since 1990 and it is still my go to machine, just recently bought a garrett Ace 350 but thinking about selling it and getting a Tesoro.
