I dug and I dug, what a day I had.

Started out early this morning, went to my field where I found my US buckle and triangle bullet about a month ago. I dug every signal that didn't sound broken up, I had my apron full, both sides. I quit about mid morning to go home and cut grass hopefuly for the last time. Then I went back and dug some more. I should of took a picture of the crap I threw away. Any help on the button and the Chinese coin would be great. I havent cleaned them up much yet. My hands feel like $h!t, the ground felt like concrete. Alot of this I dont know what they are so any help on those also. Nice little bullets, and that chain, I've seen one of those posted I do believe. Anyway not many coins but a 1925 and a 19?? wheaties. That fire chief hotwheel is a red line but its ready for the junkyard, but its cool anyway cause I had one when I was younger, a whole lot younger. That Metal pin or whatever of a miner sais Richmond VA. The Gateway to the South and has the state seal on the helmet. What is it? Just lots of goodies yea even the old bucket from some toy trackhoe. ortball9 how would a navy button end up in mid mo, the sailor came home here or maybe the close prox to the MO river? And also was it a two piece button cause I don't understand the back on it? coinhunter53 what is a sword pommel? I have no idea. Hey thanks guys for the replies. JYD

Always a good sign to find a Chinese cash coin, usually means that there will be more 1890-1900 era stuff there. WTG!

The bullet on the left is a sharps tie ring base, unfortunatly there are are atleast 13 or more types of tie ring based bullets, without holding it in my hand and looking more closely I cannot give you a definate on what one it is.

That chain may be a curb chain for a horse bridle. Check out this link for a picture of a curb chain. http://www.rememberthemaine.com/acatalog/Cavalry_Equipments.html

I also see a sword pommel as someone else suggested, and brass tent grommets.

ditto on the curb chain and the two piece rosette with the heavy wire connecting them is used to rivet a leather bridle or headstall together. you got some very good finds indeed.
