I am excited! I was in a store yesterday and was talking about diving. I was told of this place. It was a minus 17 yesterday and pretty cold today. HOWEVER.......

Homestead Crater | Homestead Resort

The water is a constant 75 degrees. I am wondering what I can find on the bottom? My apartment is only 45 minutes away from this place. I have to wait till next week but really excited about what I might discover.

Wow, looks like an interesting place.

They say you can get 2 soaks a day? Pricing seems a little odd, and they don't say how long your entry fee is good for.

I'm looking forward to the report.

How deep is it is the next question... can you get to the bottom, is the bottom rocks, or are you cave diving at that point?

75 degrees? The website says that water is 90-96 degrees. You aren't going to want to spend a lot of time in that water, but I would love the chance to scuba-detect. Good luck!

I was told where they dive is 75 degrees. IF it was 90 - 96 degrees all you would need to add is vegetables and you would have Bob stew. LOL I will get more information but I am pretty excited to see what I can find. No matter what it looks like a blast

Good for you Scuba.
I guess you will be able to answer a lot of questions after you enter the water. I can sense your excitement.
The coastline water Temps in NYC is 45 degrees.
Good luck buddy

Very exciting, Scuba. Like diving in a hot tub during the winter. Most likely crystal clear given that it is contained within a rock formation. Reminds me of some diving I used to do in abandoned, flooded rock quarries. Looking forward to hearing about your finds!

If I know you from your posts, you'll probably come back with a gold bar, 2 rolexes, a couple of diamond rings, and the ark of the covenant. Not to many people I get jealous of but your posts always make me drool. Good luck keep us posted.
