"I Got A Silver Coin Here...Holy Crap It's A Seated Liberty HALF DIME!!!"
Hello Everyone,
My Fiance (shrc_chick86) and I got out to the site that BuckleBoy and I have hit in the last couple of weeks where many old coins have been found. We were only out there for about 2 hours. A few minutes in she says "I think I've got something good here... no wait, its just a button" and with that she pulled out a small flat button (which have been quite plentiful at this site) marked "Treble Gilt Orange" on the back. Then later SHRC Shouted "I found a shell". It was a small snail shell which also are very plentiful around here. Again, like always, as we were heading for the car I got a good signal and started digging. After I located where the object was in the plug, I pulled it apart and out fell a small, round, whitish grey looking object. I bent down and picked it up and said "I got a silver coin here...Holy Crap it's a HALF DIME!!!". I gently pushed some of the dirt off and saw that the date was 1854! This is my first Seated Liberty coin in about 5 years and my very first Half Dime! It's the second Half Dime to come out of this site. BuckleBoy's was the first, an 1841-O. This one is in really good condition with most of the detail still visible. Anyway, please let me know what you think. Take care and HH!
