Headed out Sat. morning...freezing cold about 15 - 20 degrees and a whippin' wind that cut through ya....but I had to get out before the snow hit on Sunday night to end my season...
I hunted about 2hrs and had great luck...found two large Colonial buttons, two small buttons (one with a lot of gold guilt), a pendant thingy , a buckle that looks to have been silver plated, and a coin...
The coin is like no other i've dug....has a bust facing left and a "D" above it....and the word 'GRATIA' down the left side. The reverse of the coin looks to have a shield with a crown on it....need to clean it more to get details...
I'm thinking it has to be early 1700's or so...ANY and ALL help on this coin will be appreciated!!
Thanks for looking and HH,
