Well, I got my oldest coin to date, and I have Mr. Senior to thank for it! He contacted me and let me know I had won the prize he offered for finding the first silver of 2010.

It came in the mail the other day - a hammered Edward I long cross penny that he dug on a group hunt in Wessex, England. Edward I ruled from 1272-1307. I going to frame it like I did the 1624 Sigismundus, but I wanted to post it here so everyone knows what Mr. Senior did and to say how much I am thrilled with this coin! :o :D

Mr. Senior is quite generous!
I am still enjoying my 1624 Sigismund III Polkers he sent back a month or so ago. Too bad we can't find anything old enough here in Illinois to give to him as a prize ... Perhaps your first seated find Neil.

Welcome Back Neil! My comp took a dump, so D-Dub was nice enough to sell me one of his, so I'm finally up and running again. Congrats on your great prize for the first silver of the year!

Mr. Senior ROCKS!

Hey Neil, that coin was made by the guy who had Mel Gibson killed in Braveheart! It's curs-Ed.
