I got reprimanded by a fortune cookie today..pics and a reality check

This is a true story:

This morning while Hank golfed "9" I detected for 2 hrs at high tide.

15 minutes into the hunt, I recovered in the wet sand a ring which had the remote possibilty of being maybe, somehow, could be, if, whether or not...9 K or 10 K; I have found rings in this condition that turned out to be of a low gold quality.

Well, I set out to clean the ring, and although it didn't look too bad, my hopes were dimming with each cleansing procedure.

But undaunted, I proceeded with a gold acid test .......result was that red flashing "not gold" signal....:sadsmiley:

Off Hank & I went for lunch to a Chinese Restaurant. Final pic is of the message on my Fortune Cookie that I unwrapped after the meal.

Yup...right on! :laughing7:

Sorry about the ring, Lorraine. I find I am happier with my finds if I leave my glasses off and don't test them...
