Thanks in advance for any help you can give. I'm new to metal detecting and just couldn't pass up this deal at a local garage sale. The unit appears almost new and seems to work okay, the seller said he had it repaired at a local repair facility. I would like to have a better knowledge of the controls before I take it to the field on vacation next week. This control head has 1.Disc/Norm/Batt Sw 2.Disc Level (1-10) 3.Tuning (1-10) 4.Ground Rejection 5.Sensitivity (1-10) 6. Volume/off and a Headphone Jack.Also has a button in the center of the hand grip. Could there possibly be any particular headset that is popular with you guys who wear them a lot in the heat. Have two different coils,what are the main differences between them so I would know when to use one rather than the other
