Seems kind of big and uncomfortable to be a functional purse. I'm thinking it may be intended to hold tools as some sort of artist/craftsman works. Just a guess. Nice item regardless.

It has the shape of a Victorian plant collector satchel though this of course is modern.. They have a special name that I do not remember.

When a flask doesn't get the job done you can just put the whole bottle in there.

Looks like hvac pipe made into something.
