I was down in a little town visiting the grandmother the other day and decided to hit the local so called "WELL HUNTED" park. I had only been swinging for about two minutes when I got my first good signal. The target was about 4in down and was a mercury dime 1917-S. The next target came within 10ft and was closer to 5in deep and was a 1897 Barber dime. Before the day was through I dug a silver rosie at 4in and missed it with my plug but found it hiding in the side of the hole with the probe. I think I'll have to pay the park another visit the next time i'm down that way! 8)

Thanks everyone for looking. The merc is just discolored because it was close to a gravel bed and there is something in the limestone that turns them black. Ever once in a while i will dig one out like that. 8)

Nice finds. I haven't found a barber dime in a while.

"Well hunted" is pretty relative. Some people have high expectations.
