Need to get the dirt off this sharp rock that I found today in a creek. Can anyone give me some pointers?

Why do you want to clean it. Just brush or wash with water and leave it alone, you do any more you destroy it's value..

Is that from the same area as the other? Try water. What are you typing it as?

Different creek, TNMts. About 5 miles apart. I have found clovis flute fails, and paleo darts in the creek, but when it comes to creeks, there is all ages in all. I do however think it's a lance, and paleo at that.

Water and your toothbrush will work just fine. Could be a knife as well.

I'd say the best option for cleaning a piece like that would be to walk it through a car wash and let the scrubbers do the work for you, wax job optional.

For anyone who didn't understand that... the question was asked " what just happened" that photo conveyed what I thought had happened.

And it seemed to fit what had happened there. It was light hearted and meant no harm.

Really shoot I was honest with the guy... it was deleted be cause it was too honest. So again slap some oil on it and have a nice day. I mean really according to your ridiculous response and attack for me helping out what else could I say about this possible paleo blade. Still up to debate on that.

And my little little Billy....really you want to keep illuminating my replies.... do you not understand it is only making you look the fool and you vain attempt to have me suspended on the site. First and you should take a look at all post I reply on, I never attack unless attacked. That is the difference between you and I.....
