After making about 10 passes through the 2 mile long median one would think the good targets have to run out:icon_scratch:...Not! I dug out 2 more silver coins, a silver ring, and 5 more wheat pennies!
I may never finish this place, my pouch was stuffed with so much trash items I had to empty it half way through the day. Plenty of targets left, that means more good stuff to dig.

Sounds like you're picking up a lot of trash which is definitely admirable. Kudos to you. I always tell detectorists it's a good idea to do so because not only are you getting rid of all the trash, chances are you'll go back to detect the same area and there's nothing worse than picking up the same signals.

And you're finding some great targets to boot. Congrats.

Awesome. Glad to see it's still giving! I feel like big, productive sites like are never truly dead. There's always "one more keeper" somewhere out there :-P

I'm not familiar with your other posts, but are you actually hunting the median on an interstate or just main road?

I ask because I'm surprised with the great finds you are locating regardless of what your answer is, who knew there would be that much good stuff in such a non walking location?!?

Kudos to you!

I've actually dug enough trash out of this median to fill an average sized garbage can. The brass, copper, and lead is all recycled for $$$, all the other stuff is thrown away when I get it home. I pack it all out, I wish the other detectorist would do the same. I've seen trash left in or by some of the other holes dug by someone else in this median..:(

Kudos to you!

It's in the main part of a large city in an older neighborhood. Many generations of kids have been playing in it since the 1930's. Two miles long on both sides of the road it has hundreds of large trees and bushes for kids to have a good time. I must have close to 50 metal cowboy cap guns I've dug in this place.
