I thought things couldn't get better....
Hello Treasurenet!
It was the last day of soul-crushing school and i had one exam left. I didn't study at all, yet i still got an A on it. So i thought that was excellent. I then went to my wheat field (old fairground) and managed to dig up a good deal of clad, a key, and a Canadian nickel. Nice lot of finds, but nothing like diggin a wheat though.
I went to my dad's softball game, at the same park where I found my 1898 half dollar and began MD'ing. I put my DFX on deep silver mode and proceded to check the park over again. I soon found another wheat, right next to one of my old holes. I then found a really nice pistol musketball ( i think). I proceded to go to the other end of the park and i got a weak quarter signal. I plugged the ground and kept on digging. Then i saw the quarter of the edge of the hole. I picked it up and I a Barber Quarter Frantic, i flipped it over to see if i sheared of the other side with my shovel. It was only a minor scratch that does not distract from the true beauty of the coin. iI also picked up a wheaty near by it to round out the day. Remember, A PARK IS NEVER, EVER HUNTED OUT.
