I went back to one of my parks for a brief, after work hunt. The pickin's were slim for the most part; the usual clad, zincoln's and trash.
I got an unusual bouncy hit and although I was hoping for more gold, it was not to be tonight. However, I did dig ring number 40; a milestone .

It's a junker and it's bent to hell but I did get the moon and the stars....:

I could have done worse for my 40th ring so I'm cool with it. It's one more junker out of the way toward my next real one.

Then, once again there was the usual clad, another "no cash value" token with the eagle and shield, another key, a button, another spring loaded key ring thing and a piece of mystery metal.

The oldest coin was a 1959 penny. Oh well. We'll get 'em next time (I hope).

That's pretty much it. Another day; another pocket full of metal.

Thanks for lookin' and Happy Hunting to all.

Congrats on the clad haul and that ring. Looks like there are plenty of targets at that site.

Yeah, I've pulled lots of clad, some junk jewelry and five rings from this spot so far; two silver and three junk. I've gotten the three junkers since Saturday.
I have a feeling there's some gold in there somewhere and that's what I'm after.

I know for a fact there's at least one gold earring because a girl I met there told me she lost it. The problem is, it's a huge place and she has no clue where she lost it. It's like the old needle in a haystack. I told her that if I find it I'll be happy to return it (as painful as that may be).

I'll dig trash, clad and other junk all day if there's a shot at some gold and there's ALWAYS a shot at gold; often when you least expect it. I've had pretty good luck at sports fields so far and I'm hoping the trend will continue.

Those soccer field sidelines very often hold good treasure.
