ID help Elongate Clam mold????

I found this in the Atlantic off of a S. Florida beach. I noticed it when water detecting. It is shaped petty much like a jet underwing fuel tank except a little more blunt on one end...but maybe that is just from being broken off. It seems to have somewhat flat central core funning down the middle. You can see part of it where the outside is broken off and it appears tha it runs donw the length of the item.
