This bottle is quite the looker. It has a lot of different little designs and some lettering and is pre-thread. You may recognize some of the markings. I took the liberty of drawing everything on it. The bottom of the bottle says "Old Sturbridge Village".....Someone help me please. I just might lose sleep over this.

I'm not a bottle expert, but it reminds me of an Andrew jackson whiskey flask I so once. It is a real nice bottle.:occasion14:

Got any pics of the bottom, and how far up does the seem go on the neck . Where did you find it?

Unfortunately, I think it is a repo since it is marked Old Sturbridge Village. That doesn't necessarily mean it is not collectible and it sure doesn't mean that it isn't cool looking.

The JP stands for Justus Perry. He was a merchant that ended up being the sole owner of the original company after he foreclosed on them. I think yours was made in the 60's or 70's.

There isnt much of a seem in the neck but if I had to guess it goes almost to the lip. The bottom only says Old Sturbridge Village. Nothing else.

I've seen a bottle like that somewhere,I like it solely by the way it looks.

I'm sorry if I disappointed you or anything. It would also have a pontil mark on the base if it were the original. There are still 25 dollar bids on the one you have on ebay. HH.

Ive been to Old Sturbridge Village as a kid....a couple times..its really great if you are into history- buildings laid out as they would be 200 years ago...people making every type of possible item.....not surprising they had bottles as I remember seeing a glass blower ....they had a little general store where you could buy all sorts of old timey stuff...but yeah....its no older than the late 60s- its a tourist item....

has some weird markings, a G in a triangle and a mark above it like a Masons symbol? kinda interesting.
